As an important organic synthesis intermediate, 2,5-bis(4- aminophenyl)pyrimidine is commonly used in the preparation of other nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds or complexes. 2,5-Bis(4-aminophenyl)pyrimdine can be synthesized via a coupling reaction between dichloroethyl benzoate and p-phenylenediamine under basic conditions.
