4,4-oxybisbenzoic chloride can be used as an organic synthesis monomer in the synthesis of polyimide films and photosensitive polyimide materials.
DEDC can also be used as a pharmaceutical synthesis intermediate in the synthesis of (octylphenol polyoxyethylene ether bis-substituted) diphenyl ether of dicarboxylic acid.
It can also be used in the synthesis of photosensitive dyes, dye intermediates and pesticides. It has applications in the coatings, plastics and rubber industries.
