The reaction of 1,4-Naphthalenedicarboxylic acid with metal salts under hydrothermal conditions leads to new transition metal coordination polymers. The coordination polymer is a two-dimensional layered structure, in which the aromatic carboxylic acid ligand plays a bridging role, and the fluorescence performance is similar to that of Fbtx ligand, with a slight decrease in intensity, which may be caused by the quenching effect of the ligand after coordination with the metal ion.
1,4-Naphthalenedicarboxylic acid is an important organic chemical raw material, can be used for the synthesis of a variety of chemical products, such as through the condensation with ethylene glycol and other diols, can be produced polyethylene naphthalene dicarboxylate (PEN) and other polyesters, used in the production of high-performance plastics, fibers and so on.
It is also the intermediate of many kinds of dyes, used in the synthesis of azo dyes, insecure quinone dyes, etc., can improve the color fastness of dyes and color stability and other properties.
1,4-Naphthalenedicarboxylic acid is used as an organic ligand in the preparation of photocatalytic and fluorescent materials.
